Hi cheers for your help, but I don't think it worked.

Mine says "Add together & Remove Windows Features" so I clicked on it and see Outlook Express at that place, but it says add/remove Window Components.  And to bank check Details, but Details was not highlighted so could non check it.  So I clicked on Outlook Limited and it seemed to do something.  But and so I went into Start & Programs to see if OE was in my list of programs and it wasn't.  And then I went dorsum and idea maybe I should unclick the other check marks and simply take OE checked.  And so some stuff came up and information technology kept saying "deleting this" deleting something else and it was so fast I couldn't see what it was.  So idea I don't want anything deleted, so canceled the procedure.  I so went back into the command panel and clicked on Windows Features over again simply this fourth dimension a find came up saying " Windows XP Set up-upwardly" "Another copy of set-up is running.  Please wait until this other fix-upward is completed before attempting to run this programme once more."

Outlook Limited  had 0.0 MB on the right side.

When it says Add together/Remove how does information technology know if y'all want to Add the program or Remove it.  I gauge if it isn't on the estimator it would Add it and likewise if information technology was there it would Remove information technology.  And then when I unchecked all the other programs, maybe it thought I was wanting them removed, simply I did not highlight them, I had only highlighted Outlook Limited.

So not sure if I screwed something else up or not, merely should OE be listed in the listing of Currently Installed Programs under Add?Remove.  There is a lot of Microsoft things there but not OE.

Your answer seemed then easy, but I don't know if it worked or not.  Should I be able to see where OE is loaded.  I don't see it mentioned anywhere.

OE is a role of XP, so it is there somewhere. It won't be in Add/Remove.

1: Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Add/Remove Windows Components. Make sure OE is checked.

2: Right click on the Desktop | New | Shortcut. Browse to *c:\program files\outlook limited\msimn.exe*. Click Adjacent | Click Finish.  A new shortcut volition be on the desktop.

3: Control Panel | Add together/Remove Programs | Set Program Admission and Defaults | Custom + Downward Arrow | Select the radio button for Outlook Limited.

If you don't detect information technology at: *c:\plan files\outlook express\msimn.exe*, someone screwed it up. As I said, it is a part of XP, so you tin't remove information technology, only aparently you can destroy it.

How-do-you-do Bruce

But wanted to let yous know nearly something that surprised me.  This night I was sending an attachment - a member's listing for our RV Society - so I went to file and send electronic mail with zipper.  And what comes up but the blue folio that said Outlook Express 6 and the e-mail form, only like information technology did when Outlook was my default.  And so it must exist in that location some place, but where is a mystery.  I went and looked in my Programs, thinking maybe I woke it upwards, just no such luck.  So I guess it isn't distroyed merely hiding.
